I was recently asked to prepare a full day workshop in Glosterville, New York for a wonderful organization called Transitions. This program does fabulous work in their community, preparing teens and young adults with autism and learning difference for college, careers and life. This event is offered to families, educators and professionals who support teens and young adults with autism, ADHD and other learning challenges.
The workshop is called Building Executive Function Skills: Time Management, Planning and Organization.
This is an interactive, hands-on workshop that will allow you to teach your students about the connection between their brain development and their behaviors tied to time management, planning and organization. The goal of this workshop is to provide practical knowledge to help students strengthen executive function skills and become more productive and stay on task. Not only will you learn how to help your students with their executive function skills, but you will also come away with tools and strategies to support yourself at home and in the workplace.
As you all know, I am very passionate about spreading skills, awareness and understanding about executive functioning within schools and in our daily lives, and I am so excited to present to this community.
