For those who struggle with executive functioning challenges, creating and keeping healthy habits can be a major road block. I know that this is true for myself.

An important aspect of creating healthy habits is to seek support. This could come in the form of an accountability partner, reward system or tool to help motivate you.

For example, for the past month I’ve been using Johnson & Johnson’s 7M workout app. I needed to add strengthening exercises to my exercise routine, but hadn’t made it happen until I discovered this tool. I like it because it is simple and I can do it at home.

This app is easily customized to fit your fitness level. The basic workouts are seven minutes long and you can add a couple of minutes of warming up and cooling down. Easy to fit into the morning when you roll out of bed. The only extra thing you need besides the floor is a chair. You can amp up the time as you get stronger. I am up to two cycles of seven minutes and today I raised the difficulty level.  I could feel progress very quickly.

Little by little…positive change happens! What fitness tools to you have to give support and motivation?
